Watermellow

In 2019 I played 55 shows around the US and Europe. Being super DIY, I booked and tour-managed all of them and was usually a pretty one-woman operation (except for the fun 10-show tour I did with Anna Diorio). Traveling alone like that is super isolating, so I made a little paper mache friend, Watermellow, the sad watermelon. This was around the time when I was promoting my EP Sad, so everything tied in perfectly. I would take him with me from town to town and take photos where I was (like the gnome from Amelie). An artist in Frankfurt even painted him in the poster for my show there! Fun times!

Watermellon Costume

Just for fun, I want to share a costume I made for Halloween in 2015. I think thhis is the year everyone was doing the gumball trend, but I wanted to be different. I found this fun pink dress at a thrift store and it reminded me of a watermelown so I decked it out and it turned out so cute!
