Music Collaborations

I have been super lucky to collaborate with some really stellar musicians over the years. I love working with people because we create something new together that we would not be able to create on our own.

Font Drama

I met my friend Claire right when I moved to New York because my roommate Mary was friends with her bandmate. I sent her a Facebook message and she responded right away and was so kind and brought me into the community of other weirdo rappers like Rachet by Nature, Lil Frexx and Paco the G Train Bandit. Claire and I made a band called Font Drama,  where we wrote silly raps based on inside jokes about cheese and online stalking crushes — it was so much fun. We made a super low-budget video at my apartment with Jason Hood featuring MC Frontalot and Joey Slater.

Paperweight -
Collaboration with Casey Dienel

Tune Yards introduced me to Casey as part of a producer/vocalist paring for a track that would debut on Red Bull Radio. We connected over video chat first, and I mentioned that it looked like she lived in my neighborhood, and she did. We threw the video chat out the window, and I rode my bike over to her house so we could work IRL. We hit it off instantly and the track we made was so different from anything I had made before and I love it.

Pickles -
Kalbells

I met these ladies through a show Adam Shatz produced and they are just so talented. They invited me to feature on their song Pickles and I hope that one day we can all be together and do a show where we perform this.

Bromance Gonna Save the World -
Lea Anderson & Adam Reid

Adam Reid wrote this beautiful story about Barack Obama and Joe Biden being time travelers to stop Trump and it was so funny and of that moment. He got some serious traction and asked me to write the theme song for a show he was pitching. This is my first and only theme song I wrote! Rich Matthew (who I met via Hand Job Academy)  did the production and Lea Anderson sang on the hook and she really went in!

Cyberbully -
Starkey

I wrote this track about a cheerleader who did not want to peak in highschool, so she buried herself behind the bleachers so she would be the undead forever queen bee. Super high concept and weird and I love it.
