Feminasty
Feminasty is my first and only full-length album. It was totally produced by KEISHH, and there is one top-notch collaboration on there with my pal MC Frontalot. All of my songs had a feminist and fun perspective.
I had no idea what I wanted to do for the album cover, but I wanted to do something that involved a lot of people. I was talking to my friend Taylor, and after the conversation, I had the idea to take a bunch of pictures of people making ugly faces and mash them all up together. I really hate how much society values beauty, so I wanted to take something that people may view as ugly and make it as beautiful as a big middle finger to the patriarchy.

The second video of the album (the first being Thunder Thighs) was for a song called Fuccboi Salut. I had no budget for this (just enough to pay Kim to DP it). I came up with the concept of shooting the video during a party at my house. The star was a sock puppet that I made from materials I found at a thrift store. The art department budget was really limited ($20USD) so i bought a bunch of poster board from the dollar store to make a ton of word bubbles with things people say while using tinder. I also made a foam core tinder window. Despite the low budget nature of the video I am really happy with how it turned out.
Thunder Thighs did not only blow up in a good way, people also were constantly messaging/commenting that I promoted a healthy lifestyle and even attacking me personally calling me fat ugly and stupid. Anna North contacts me about making an editorial video for The New York Times and I though this was a perfect opportunity to clap back at all my haters. I was visiting Montreal at the time so I did not have my usual NYC crew. I hired a crew based off Facebook recommendations and asked my friends to be in the cast. Simon embodied a troll and plastered Rue St. Catherine with thumbs down sticky notes. I wanted everyone to remain non affected to send my trolls the message that they could not get under my skin.
