As the World Burns

My friend Marcus told me about the graphic novel As the World Burns by Derrick Jensen, where the stupid humans literally sold their most precious resources (clean water and land) to aliens who could poop gold. It really struck a nerve, so I made my own collage piece that also critiqued the wasteful nature of humans.

At this point with collages, I was really experimenting more with proportions of body parts to give a surreal feeling to the pieces. This is one of my favorite collages from this time in my life.
